“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said ‘Never will I leave you; never will I foresake you” -Hebrews 13:25

A wise man one told me that when it comes to serving the Lord, don’t ever worry about the money. My old youth pastor, Charlie, taught me a lot of things but if there is one lesson that will always stay with me…that would defenitely be in the top five. Ever since he told me stories about other people raising support and himself I never really understood or believed it for myself. This is mostly because anytime I had to raise money for a mission trip it was always with team that would all work together to raise the money, so support raising never really seemed like a miracle. So when AIM told me I was to raise $6,750+ by September 1st… I was a little nervous. But in only about two short months, I’ve almost raised all the money I need, but I have definitely raised over the amount of goals and financial timelines AIM has set for us. And all the credit goes to God, without Him none of this would have been possible. Sure, lots and lots of amazing people donated to me… but it is all ultimately because of God.

He is
the reason I am going on this mission trip.

He is the reason people support me financially and prayerfully.

He is the reason my parents now fully support my decision.

All of the money is ultimately His.

He is the reason for this life.

  1. AMEN!! I know that God will provide for you cause you have gotten this far already..$$ wont stop you, your doing this for God!! Cant wait to meet you!!

  2. Hey, thought I would comment on your blog since you were so kind as to register a complaint in mine. :p

It’s awesome to hear how God is providing for everyone. Even though anyone in the AIM office watching my account balance must be nervous, it’s not a case of people not wanting to support me, but people taking a long time to think and even longer to sending in the support they have promised. God is providing, but I think he’s also teaching me not to procrastinate, since I am now seeing how worrisome things can get at the last minute.

Anyway, I’ll end this rather lengthy comment with a loud AMEN!

    Cheers
